Getting to Chelan

Chelan is in the center of Washington State. It’s a beautiful area that we like to say is like Lake Tahoe and Napa had a baby. Kate’s family has a cabin in the area, and has spent summers and holidays there for over a decade! You can see some of our favorite spots on this map!

Based on its location, this is a destination wedding for many of our family and friends. There are several ways to get to Chelan, and the two most common ways include a ~3-hour drive. We want to give you options if you plan on making the trip!

Fly into Seattle

Seattle is in western Washington and is where Sean went to school (Go Dawgs!) and where we live. It’s serviced by Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Once you arrive at SeaTac, you’ll take a beautiful 3-hour drive east to reach Chelan.

If you choose to make our wedding weekend into a longer vacation, we’ve included some of our top recommendations and frequent spots around Seattle in this map.

Fly into Spokane

Spokane is in eastern Washington and is where Kate went to school (Go Zags!). It’s serviced by the Spokane International Airport (GEG). This is a smaller airport, but depending on where you live could be a great option. Once you arrive in Spokane, you’ll take a 2.5-hour scenic drive west to Chelan.

If you choose to fly into Spokane and want to spend a night or two there, we’ve included some of Kate’s favorite places for you to eat, play, and enjoy in this map.

Fly into Wenatchee

Less than an hour from Chelan is a regional airport in Wenatchee (EAT). This could be a good option if you can find a flight deal, but will likely be more expensive as it is only serviced by one airline. Once in Wenatchee, Chelan is a 30-40 minute drive away.
